Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Manager in Training (GMIT) to join our growing team. The GMIT role is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage one of our travel stops or country stores. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team, oversee operations, and ensure exceptional service within our nationally recognized retail environment. In this role, you will undergo a rigorous training program, including hands-on management experience, with the goal of preparing you to effectively handle all aspects of store management including operations, merchandising, and customer service. Participate in a comprehensive training program covering all areas of store management including logistics, inventory management, and customer service Supervise and mentor store employees, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented work environment Manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Analyze business metrics to improve store performance Handle conflict resolution, making customer service a top priority Implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales growth Strong leadership and people management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze financial reports and business forecasts Proficiency in using inventory management software Capable of handling multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification in Retail Management (CRM) preferred Training in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards is advantageous
