Program Overview
The Enterprise Classroom Program falls under the management of the
Army Training and Doctrine Command, which is looking to both shift
schoolhouse residential programs into a digital training
environment and sustain existing classrooms ECP's period of
performance includes one base year and two individual option years.
Bowhead will be responsible for connecting all communications and
infrastructure to a local or Defense Department network, such as
the Global Information Grid. SSI will also carry out analysis,
design, engineering, integration, facility rehabilitation and
technology installation of classroom configurations such as
lecture, collaboration, simulation and mobile.
SSI is seeking an Audio-Visual Installation Technician to install
equipment, IAW an approved Engineering Design Plan, under the
direction of the Lead A/V Technician. The A/V Technician, Installer
may be tasked to assist during site surveys, utility plans, and
system/facilities evaluations, in addition to the installation of
associated equipment. The A/V Technician Installer will possess or
be willing to gain a general knowledge of A/V installation and
possess use of basic hand tools. You will communicate with the Lead
A/V Tech relaying vital information about the installation to them
including, including but not limited to, client request, possible
deviations from the install plan, delays, equipment issues,
etc.
Essential Responsibilities may include:
Ability to understand diagrams and schedules.
Make record of equipment inventory.
Perform installation of required equipment, cables, computer
systems and associated facilities activities.
Comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and
safety standards.
Install indoor fiber optic cable in large military structures.
Install computers systems and equipment.
Run low voltage copper cable.
Organize, dress and label cables to industry standards.
Perform drywall, wood, and concrete masonry firewall
penetrations.
Maintain cleanliness and safety on job site.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
0 - 3 years of A/V experience or similar experience
Must be able to travel 50-75 percent of the time. Telecommute
during no travel times.
Experience using basic hand tools as an Audio-Visual Installation
technician or in a similar role.
Desire to obtain knowledge of the equipment installation processes
and principles.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Team collaboration skills.
Possess a valid state issued driver's license.
