Position Details:
--- Title: Maintenance & Repair Specialist II or III
--- Location: Santa Teresa, NM
--- Shift: M-F 8a-4:30p
--- Compensation: II - $60K - $70K, 10% Target bonus, $5k Sign on ( - on 1st check, - at 6mo)
o III - $70 - $80K, 10% Target bonus, $5k Sign on ( - on 1st check, - at 6mo)

--- Travel: 60%-80% a week working out of Santa Teresa office. (El Paso as needed) Company truck provided.

Position Description: Responsibilities include:
--- Monitor and control all aspects of equipment repair within the Santa Teresa and El Paso areas.
--- Monitor and control M&R costs for chassis. Verify, code and approve invoices up to $10,000.00.
--- Monitor and control OOS equipment levels to include Repair Estimate Approval and Repair Limit Compliance. Update chassis OOS status and notes as needed in M&R System.
--- Conduct daily visits to local Terminals and CY's in the area to ensure that all M&R issues are addressed and that Company Policies are enforced.
--- Ensure company inspection/repair standards are communicated to vendors & adhered to.
--- Assist locations in continuously investigating ways and means to reduce overall M&R costs while ensuring service levels are not compromised.
--- Monitor and control spare parts inventory levels of company owned parts.
--- Review work order input in M&R system on a daily basis and transmit work orders daily.
--- Assist in selecting new repair vendors when required within the region.
--- Discuss and resolve work order input discrepancy with M&R vendors.
--- Perform company monthly safety review. Conduct shop site audits for all responsible locations
--- Monitor and release any DVER/DVIR inspections that location is notified of.
--- Participate in Top Ten Trucker Load Program. Visit one truck line per week
--- Review M&R system reports as needed; S09, S11, duplicate code and duplicate work order reports.
--- Generate information for third party billing/damage recovery at all locations.
--- Assist with road service where necessary. Track and order license plates for chassis.
--- Work with the logistics team to ensure proper inventory levels are kept in locations.
--- Monitor and control inventory levels of company owned tires.
--- Coordinate off hire and scrap chassis programs. Ensure accruals are done accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:
--- 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair and thorough knowledge of chassis or trailer repair.
--- Ability to effectively communicate company policy/procedures and identify problems and seek solutions.
--- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet daily requirements.
--- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check and Federal check.
