Job Description:

The Outbound Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all outbound shipments throughout the company. What you will be doing:

• Schedule outbound shipments via a variety of modes.
• Coordinate and communicate between the transportation providers and various locations and departments.
• Making special shipping arrangements as needed.
• Request rail bills and return loaded containers to the specified rail yard and closeout booking in system.
• Negotiate freight rates with brokers, carriers, and drayage providers.
• Ensure freight companies adhere to pick up appointments and coordinates drayage to and from ramps at all locations.
• Ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to maximize sales, market share, and profit for the company and customer.
• Reviews inbound mainline daily; tracks late arrivals and communicates with operations to ensure efficient trailer processing upon arrival.
• Assist with transportation oversight and resolve tactical issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Four (4) years experience required in logistics or transportation environment.Excellent interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of tracking, tracing shipment reconsignment/return, and storage/re-delivery. Knowledge of outbound logistics and carrier operations. Ability to work in a team environment in pressure situations within changing demands and time constraints. Required Skills/AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills in English. Bi-lingual a plus.Quick critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a '' people person'')Working knowledge of Google Suite or Comparable Office Software including Email, Documents, Spreadsheets, etc. required PI132637826
