Description: Alamo Auto Supply is currently hiring an Automotive Installation Supervisor who has a minimum of 2 years' shop-management supervisory experience as well as at least 5 years of automotive installation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Compensation and Benefits:Alamo offers year-round full-time hours as our standard. Profit-sharing and 401(k) matching is also offered.Purpose of Position:Installation supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Cleveland installation facility that includes, installs, training and development of installation staff, policies and procedures Primary Roles:LMACreate clarity of expectations and directionProvide necessary tools for successHave right meeting pulse with team and individualsFocus on employee developmentReward and recognize both good and bad performance Quality control Following the scope of work and work order Installing products to manufacturer specsProviding technical support to the installation teamLabor productivity Labor billed vs actual hours are metIdentify opportunities with products and installationsLabor utilizationTo utilize the installation team 60% of the time on regular installationsEnsure installers are punching in and out of work orders Preventative Maintenance of all equipment and safety Forklifts, lifts, compressors, spray booth, and any other equipment used by the department.Ensuring installers follow safe practices and utilizing equipment properlyAlamo Team Member Duties and Responsibilities:Commits and adheres to the company core values: Do the right thingAsk questions and bring solutionsBuild relationshipsTake initiatives and follow throughTraining and development of the installation teamMotivating and discipline of the installation teamCoordinates efforts with others to achieve group and team metricsAbility to understand and work reporting to achieve goals and metricsDrives a culture of safetyPerforming additional duties where neededRequirements:Requirements:The minimum requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are provided.High school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of automotive installation experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience2+ years of shop management-related supervisory experienceValid driver's license requiredProficient computer skillsOutstanding communication skills, both verbal and writtenOutstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skillsStrong people skillsAvailable to work extended hours Supervisory Responsibility:This position manages and drives budgets, materials, metrics, safety, processes. A supervisor is responsible to look after the work and performance of the whole unit or department. Leads the development of supervisors/employees. Supervisor has responsibility to counsel and authority to hire, fire, or promote. Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Schedule:Determined by assigned department. Weekends are included to meet the needs of the business.
