RN Trauma PI Coordinator. We want your knowledge and expertise! Job
Summary and Qualifications ' The Trauma Performance Improvement
(PI) Coordinator works with trauma program leadership to coordinate
all aspects of the departments Performance Improvement and Patient
Safety (PIPS) Program. The PI Coordinator will review the continuum
of care to determine compliance with practice management
guidelines, policies and procedures, and established standards of
care. What you will do in this role:
- Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the
Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Maintain the Trauma PI database to ensure adequate
documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- Complete concurrent review of cases to identify quality,
timelines and systems of care to meet state standards.
- Participate in hospital education programs for nurses and
resident physicians caring for trauma patients.
- Serve as a liaison to the clinical areas responsible for trauma
patients.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary monthly Trauma Systems &
Operations Committee and Peer Review meetings. ' What
qualifications you will need:
- AREQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS Nursing License BCLS ACLS (6
month grace) PALS (6 month grace) TNCC (12 month grace) REQUIRED
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Current Compact or Texas RN license Associate,
Diploma or BSN Three years clinical experience in ED with trauma
designation (level IV or above) or ICU PREFERRED EDUCATION,
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND
ABILITIES BSN Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) Emergency Nurse
Pediatric Course (ENPC) Advanced trauma nurse course (ATCN) One
year process improvement involvement One year trauma experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Highly developed interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to work long hours and irregular hours
with many interruptions Critical thinking skills Ability to lead
others Communicates clearly and concisely Encourages team-building
efforts Developed personal computer skills to include computer
based scheduling This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations
