Job Description:
The pay rate for this position is $19.00/hour. Hourly wage is
based on experience and geographical location. Travel time and
mileage is fully reimbursable.In-School Data Collectors/Test
Administrators are responsible for Administering computer-based
assessments to students in-person in schools Making contact with
schools to discuss the study, answer questions, confirm
participation and review/set up assessment logistics Collecting
confidential information and administering standardized
questionnaires Independently managing administrative duties,
including participating in conference calls and completing online
trainingsTraveling reasonable distances to reach assigned
sites.Tracking parental permission results, communications with
school coordinators, and log updates related to logistics.Reporting
progress and problems to your supervisor during weekly conference
calls and/or as needed.Using a laptop computer for project
activities, including entering information in web-based systems,
viewing electronic reports, and to send/receive email.Setting up
and troubleshoot approximately 40 Chromebooks and an access point
to establish connectivity and other technical issues.Being able to
read text verbatim from paper documents and the computer.Promptly
transmitting data after student sessions.Meeting with local
principals or district personnel as needed to gain
cooperation.Assuming full responsibility for use and care of the
computers, taking reasonable and appropriate steps to safeguard
against damage, loss, or theft, and returning the laptop at the
conclusion of the TIMSS/ICILS assignment or at a supervisors
request.Adhering to all project deadlines and maintain accurate
records of progress and administrative reports.Completing all
required activities in a professional manner, while maintaining the
integrity and confidentiality of all information acquired.When
working in the field, must be willing to agree to any
COVID-19-related protocols put in place by RTI. These could
include, among others, wearing face coverings or respiratory
protection, gloves, social distancing with survey respondents,
and/or completing a health pledge. All safety supplies required for
use on the project will be provided by RTI. RTI International is
seeking part-time employees to administer a school-based
computerized assessment for the Trends in International Mathematics
and Science Study (TIMSS) and International Computer and
Information Literacy Study (ICILS). These important research
studies are sponsored by the International Association for the
Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) and conducted in the
United States by the National Center for Education Statistics
(NCES). TIMSS and ICILS provide reliable data on student
achievement in mathematics, science, and computer skills.Minimum
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMust be at least
21 years old at time of employmentPossess effective communication
skills through speech and listening, and fluency in English through
reading, writing, and speakingAvailable for entire training and
data collection periodAble to successfully complete trainingMust
have a valid drivers license and reliable personal automobile
available for business useAble to keep project information
confidential.One year of experience directly or indirectly related
to teaching, working with children in schools and/or field
interviewing.Be comfortable working in a school setting and in all
types of neighborhoods.Possess effective interpersonal
skills.Experience using computers and competent with common
internet and computer applications.Have regular access to a secure
in-home wireless internet connection for data transmissions.Must
have a home telephone or cell phone available to place and receive
unlimited calls and texts to and from schools, supervisors,
technical support, and project staff, as necessary. The project
does not provide cell phones.Must pass a federal security
background check. This includes fingerprinting, signing a
confidentiality agreement and affidavit of nondisclosure. Employees
also may be required to undergo additional security clearance
required by some schools and/or districts.Preferred Qualifications

proficiency The data collection period is expected to be March 2023
through June 2023.On average, you will be needed part-time,
approximately 20 hours per week when work is available.On average,
you should be available to work in the field 3 days each week.The
majority of this work is anticipated to be during weekdays during
daytime hours.Each of your trips to the field are expected to be at
least 3 hours long.Test Administrators are required to attend a
4-day training, with 2 days being virtual training and 2 days being
in-person training, scheduled for the end of February 2023 through
the first week of March 2023. Attendance at training is mandatory.

package which includes online training, manual reading, and a
