Job Description:

Duties andResponsibilitiesUnload andload furniture, product, equipment or supplies.Assist inloading and securing all moving equipment necessary for the job in truck/van.Load and unloadof warehouse storage vaults, general warehouse work, and packing materialsalvage.Carefully wrapfurniture in residence or office, wrap fixtures with pads to prevent damage,shrink wrap all upholstered furniture.Learn toeventually prepare inventories for international, interstate, intrastate, andstorage.Pad, stack,and secure items in position on van/truck/vault to prevent damage duringtransport.Load andunload truck/van/vault with or without assistance of help by hand or by use ofhand-truck, two-wheel dolly, four-wheeled cart, or other special handlingequipment.Assist inpreparation of destination residence/office for delivery of goods.Place rugrunners and door jam protectors in place, sweep front porch, steps and drive-inpathway to residence/office to remove debris. Install driveway protection undervehicle engine.Place andarrange furniture to customer's specifications and satisfaction. May need toreassemble some furniture or shelving.Assist in ensuring that equipment is accountedfor and all debris is removed from residence/office.
