As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will work the full spectrum of Master Data Management (MDM) from governance to tool implementation and system administration. You will work directly with business and IT stakeholders to construct processes for ensuring data validity and consistency across authoritative systems and other data consuming and data producing systems. You will ensure the business has the most accurate and reliable core information and by doing so, will play a key role in progressing our technology and shaping the future of human spaceflight.

This role is a part of the Enterprise Data Solutions group within Enterprise Technology. The scope of Enterprise Data is to architect, develop and deploy platforms and systems to deliver data management, governance, integrations, analytics and reporting of Blue Origin's enterprise business data. The ideal candidate will have an innate ability to pair their technical expertise with an in-depth understanding of the challenges of data governance as a whole and as it relates specifically to master data.

  • Facilitating strategic decisions regarding Master Data policy, standards, and procedures
  • Executing Master Data related projects and initiatives
  • Performing audits and data validation against Master Data definitions
  • Fulfilling the role of System Administrator for the MDM tool (EnterWorks Enable)
  • Working closely with business stakeholders of all levels to champion data governance enterprise-wide
  • Executing processes and maintenance of various Master Data Management elements to ensure accurate data creation, transformation, and retention
  • Setting technical direction for the overall MDM solution architecture, define component architecture, review detailed designs for accuracy and overall compliance to defined architecture across the complete data lifecycle
  • Maintaining Metadata stores for Master Data Attributes, Definitions and Usages


  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field from a 4-year college or university

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Data Governance/MDM in a technical capacity
  • Proficiency in interrogating SQL and NoSQL Databases
  • Strong ability to self-manage and drive toward high quality results
  • Thrive in complex, often ambiguous, and fast paced environments
  • Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data profiling and modeling
  • Must have a technical background and be able to lead data integration, data modeling, MDM workflow, etc. through a firsthand understanding
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


  • Experience implementing Master Data Management tools (specifically Enable by EnterWorks)

  • Experience in manufacturing (specifically aerospace) processes
  • Deep knowledge of various data sharing / integration methodologies (e.g. REST, SOAP, EDI, Enterprise Service Bus)
  • Experience in Integrated Supply Chain, Supplier Management and Product Management
  • Passion for our mission of millions of people living and working in space
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading/directing small project teams
