Job Description:
Traveling Orthodontic AssistantPOSITION OVERVIEW: The
Orthodontic Assistant will support doctors during treatment exams
and all necessary functions. RDA's are responsible for performing
all duties of a Registered Dental Assistant while providing quality
customer service and maintaining a professional relationship and
positive attitude with co-workers and patients alike.This position
will be responsible for and do the following:* Greet and prepare
patients for dental care* Assist the orthodontist at the chair
while they are engaged in any treatment of patients* Excellent
communication skills* Must anticipate orthodontist's needs and be
prepared for next steps* Removal and placement of arch wired* Tooth
preparation prior to bonding* Accurate computer charting*
Sterilization of chairs and instruments* Responsible for oral
hygiene instructions* Placement and removal of brackets* Must be
willing to travel to multiple locations within the east Texas
region* May be required to work some Saturdays as
neededRequirementsEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:* Minimum high
school diploma or equivalent* Bilingual - English/Spanish and RDA
Certified is a must* Dental Assisting: 1+ years* Knowledge of
dental terminology and dental procedures* Knowledge of front and
back office procedures* Familiar with Open Dental Software
preferred* Familiar with Sterilization* Familiar with OSHA
guidelines and procedures* Current Certification to monitor Nitrous
Oxide preferred* Experience in a professional environment with
