Research and make recommendations with regard to development efforts.--Provide support and maintenance assistance to include but not limited to: diagnoses and resolution of database access and performance issues as well as inefficiencies, produce ad-hoc queries, and develop reports to support business needs while ensuring all database systems meet business and performance requirements.--Perform other software development related tasks as assigned.Primary Responsibilities* Serve as the lead for the Database team, providing support and guidance to junior teammates* Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports and queries* Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols and standards in support of procurement and development efforts* Apply third party upgrades to existing databases* Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop relational databases and secondary databases as required* Identify inefficiencies in current databases and investigate solutions* Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues* Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems* Develop, implement and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases* Develop and maintain database stored procedures, views and functions for hosted web applications* Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements* Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs* Creation and maintenance of technical documentation* Development and maintenance of Data Warehouse* Implementation of data dashboards to display data in differing formats* All other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in technical area or equivalent work experience* At least 6 years of experience in database development* Proven success in managing and maintaining databases for core client-facing systemsRequired Skills:* Must remain updated about new technologies and standards* Must be able to work with defined functional requirements* Must be able to provide assistance to others on topics related to data management* Must be able to create reports on databases* Must be able to design and develop database architectures* Must demonstrate a drive to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external clients as well as peers* High level of organization, initiative and attention to detail* Ability to gather and compile information from different sourcesPhysical Requirements:* Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.* Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.* Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.* Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.* Talking:--Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.* Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.* Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.* Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.* The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as:--preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.* The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
