This position is based in El Paso, TXWhat you will be doing: Responsible to prepare and cook assigned food items with precision and accuracy. Calculate and coordinate projected product output. Expected to prioritize and clean the kitchen and work areas to ensure accurate sanitizing and effecting hygiene. Plans and expedites meal preparation and catering orders as per individual workstation, while helping and communicating with all members of every arm of the team to maintain clarity, visibility, and efficiency. Maintains an orderly and clean working, serving, and dining environment. Set up allocated stations for menu, as instructed by Managers and aligned with standards. Arranges prepares, and break down food displays.

  • Coordinate stations and procure all vital supplies, accompaniments and supplementary items to prepare a menu and personal station for service. Processes and expedites meals and beverages, as requested by customers.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of product for service
  • Coordinate implementation of project execution with team while keeping an open and clear channel of communication between all members at all times, by including notifications of shortages to management and any & all complaints, concerns and issues brought forth by customers, associates and team members
  • Carries out all directives as outlined by the management team, according to currently established standards
  • Operate food preparation tools in accordance with manufacturers instructions.
  • Implement and uphold the quality and consistency of existing recipes and the company food platform.
  • Apply all product and equipment to improve cost efficiency. Implement First-in-First- Out methods, and all standard safe & hygienic food handling practices. Cover, date, and accurately store all bits and pieces and food prep items
  • Maintain cleanliness of all department equipment and utensils. Reports all equipment failures and malfunctions to supervisor. Returns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas
  • Enforce end-of-day closing procedures accurately including cleaning and sanitizing food serving lines and kitchen whilst observing all outlines and standards formulated by management
  • Check and conduct the closing checklist for assigned kitchen stations. Work with members of the team to ensure all points of responsibility are addressedSkills needed to be successful in this role:
    • Some Culinary Skills and knowledge of food preparation including most standard kitchen equipment and knife skills.
    • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
    • Adheres to sanitation protocols
    • Good time management, interpersonal, collaboration, and handling skills
    • Ability to use a food thermometer, wear safety shoes that are non-slip.
    • Excellent Multi-tasking, time management, verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Self-motivated with a positive demeanor
    • An understanding of key business standards related to foodservice and cleanliness
    • This position requires a large reservoir of perseverance and stamina as many of the duties can become tedious and difficult due to a variety of factors to include but not limited to: long periods of time spent on one's feet, working in physically and mentally tasking environments, needing to be present with acute attention to detail in all areas of the job.Minimum Qualifications:
      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • 1+ years of food production, quick order cooking experience, and HACCP knowledgeable
      • Food Handler---s Certificate
      • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisPreferred Qualifications:
