Some evenings or weekends will be required, but limited. Includes comprehensive benefits and generous paid time off, paid holidays, and paid volunteer days.What you will be doing: Responsible for but not limited to in house caterings. Communicates with clients on all catering needs and request. Ensure all needs of catering rooms are set up accordingly to requestor's needs. Must set up and break down all caterings in according to scheduled times. Communicates with manager and lead cook for all caterings to coordinate production, vendor and facility needs. Prepares for all pantry food production, beverages, and desserts for caterings. Ensures that food is prepared in a manner, which is nutritious, safe, visual appealing, accurately flavored and in compliance with department standards for quality.Communicates all catering request and needs with department contact or special event coordinator.Coordinates and schedules catering request on department calendar.Communicates all catering client's concerns to manger.Tracks and enters catering cost into DFR daily, weekly and submits monthly report to manager.Ensure special requests are ordered or on hand prior to events. Communicates daily, weekly, and monthly on catering request or special events with manager and lead cook.Coordinates orders with linen company for all linen needs.Enters any Service Now tickets for room set-up request.Using recipes to prepares various RTE foods and other pantry menu items.Communicates and coordinates daily with Lead Cook and or Manager on strategies to accomplish catering production and maintain quality standards.Maintains food transportation carts are clean and free of debris. Food is transported to catering and kept in compliance to department's food safety standards.Restocks and refills caterings throughout catering event.Maintains standards for sanitation and cleanliness by following standards for "clean as you go"-- - and scheduled routine cleaning. Cleaning duties may include, but are not limited to equipment, utensils, serving area, dining area, floors, walls, baseboards, and storage areas.Assists in accurate labeling, dating, and rotation of product in dry storage, coolers and freezers.Able to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruptions on a frequent basis.Adheres to HACCP guidelines to maintain sanitation and infection control of all food preparation and service.Safely transports garbage, and recyclable material to assigned areas, using established protocols.Uses all PPE personal protective equipment accurately.Follows Board of Health and department sanitation procedures and maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals used, follows directions recommended by manufactures ore MSDS sheets.Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and sanitation with food temperatures hand washing, use of gloves and dating of food when required to handle food.Skills needed to be successful in this role: Knowledge of serving safe food, knife handling and safety, kitchen safe, food transportation handling techniques. Must have ability to work harmoniously with others.Ability to read, understand and speak basic English to perform essential functions of the job. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, recipes, production sheets, temperature logs, safety rules, SDS sheets. Ability to optimally present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma.1+ years catering/special events, customer service, food production, cooking experience and HACCP knowledgeable.Food handler's certificate.Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Preferred Qualifications:Serv SafeWondering if you should apply?
