Must-Have: Broad knowledge in a variety of ICU areas Description:
The ICU Registered Nurse will care for patients in various
Intensive Care areas. Nurses may work with patients in different
specialties, including OB, CICU, SICU, MICU, or PICU. A minimum of
two years of ICU experience is required. Candidates must have
current state licensure and BLS certification. ACLS certification
is mandatory while PALS is preferred. Nurses will manage patients
with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure. The role requires
obtaining and interpreting 12 lead EKG/ECG as well as managing
dysrhythmias. Management of chronic and acute renal failure will be
part of the responsibilities. Nurses will perform various
procedures such as central line care, blood product administration,
and procedural sedation monitoring. Managing ventilated patients
and high flow nasal cannula therapy is essential. Infection
prevention and adherence to isolation precautions are crucial. The
nurse will also collaborate with interdisciplinary support
including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates
should be prepared to work holidays and maintain flexibility in
scheduling. Smoke and nicotine-free workplace policies are in
