Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Mesquite, NM. This full-time, onsite position covers the full 2025-2026 school year through the end of May, with the potential extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) through the end of June. Part-time candidates will also be considered. Key Qualifications and Experience: - Must hold New Mexico state licensure as a School Psychologist; Level 2 or 3 licensure preferred, but Level 1 will be accepted - Proven experience providing therapy, crisis intervention, and conducting psychological re-evaluations - Ability to work onsite in a school environment, serving primarily a middle school population - Strong commitment to student support and collaborative work within a small, supportive district Location: - Based in Mesquite, NM, a beautiful area in southern New Mexico - Proximity to El Paso, TX (approximately 46 miles away), providing additional candidate opportunities - Nearby communities such as Deming and Truth or Consequences, close to White Sands National Park Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive psychological services including therapy and crisis interventions to students - Conduct required psychological re-evaluations and assessments - Support students social-emotional needs in collaboration with school staff - Maintain documentation and compliance with state and district regulations - Remain engaged in full-year contract regardless of returning staff member from leave Perks and Benefits: - Paid travel time between campuses, if assigned - Work in a supportive and collaborative district environment - Experience living and working near scenic locations and attractions This contract position offers a chance to make a significant impact in students educational and emotional well-being.
