We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in New Mexico. This opportunity begins on Feb 9, 2026, with a 50-day contract covering 8 or 12-hour swing shifts (11a–11p or 4p–12a). The ideal candidate will have a strong background and recent experience in emergency medicine. Job Details - Location: New Mexico - Start Date: Feb 9, 2026 - LOA: 50 days - Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: 11a–11p or 4p–12a; 12-15 swing shifts per month Responsibilities and Duties - Provide acute care to patients in the emergency department - Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergency medical conditions - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality care - Interpret diagnostic tests and initiate appropriate interventions - Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly - Respond promptly to critical situations and prioritize patient care based on acuity Additional Information - Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New Mexico required - Emergency Medicine background and recent experience required - Must have Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC) and Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
