Job Description:
Job Title: LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: RN
Specialty: LTAC Duration: 18 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Tele/LTAC in a hospital
setting License: TX or multi-state compact RN license
Certifications: ACLS & BLS certifications (must be current and
through the American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Vent/trach
experience - Knowledge of central lines - Preferred wound care
experience Description: The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds
shift accountability for providing care to patients. This is
achieved by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the
state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The
Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and
scientific judgment. Leadership is essential in the anticipation
and planning for the safe delivery of care. The RN maintains
clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegation of
patient care priorities commensurate with the education and
experience of the available staff is required. The RN provides
direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient
care. A patient ratio of 6:1 is expected.
