Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Polysomnographer - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 06/30/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Travel: Polysomnographic Technologist Alamogordo NM 13 Weeks Shift - 6pm - 6am REQUIRED: BLS NEW MEXICO STATE LISCENSE REQUIRED Must hold a registry in good standing with any of the credentialing organizations listed: /t 1. The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) /t 2. The American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST) /t 3. The National Board of Respiratory Care (SDS) EXPERIENCE /t 1. Requires at least 1 year experience as a Polysomnographic Tech. Experience in pediatric sleep preferred. Summary: Performs sleep disorder studies accurately and safely as ordered by Physicians. Operates all equipment utilized for sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment. May calibrate equipment required for testing and make adjustments. Determines testing parameters and procedures with aid of a Physician. Scores sleep/wake stages. Completes and verifies records of all procedures performed. Oversees unusual and difficult procedures. Complies with the BRPT standards. May provide oversight to the Polysomnographic (Sleep) Technician. Responsibilities: /t 1. Assesses patient testing modalities and treatment protocols and consults with referring Physician, Medical Director or Clinical Director as needed to produce optimal polysomnographic procedures. (E) /t 2. Evaluates sleep study related equipment and inventory. (E) /t 3. Performs routine and complex equipment care, maintenance and repairs. (E) /t 4. Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events by applying professionally accepted guidelines and SDC specific protocols, generating accurate reports. (E) /t 5. Demonstrates competence to perform assigned responsibilities is a manner that meets the age-specific and developmental needs of the members served by the department. (E) /t 6. Appropriately adapts assigned assessment, treatment, and/or service methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific and other developmental needs of each member served. (E) /t 7. Demonstrates adherence to the CORE Values of Santa Rosa Health Care (E) /t 8. Performs other duties as assigned. (M) Job Requirements: Education/Skills /t 1. 4 year BA/BS in health care degree from an accredited institution preferred. /t 2. Ability to concentrate and make quick judgements with a high level of skill, knowledge, understanding and accuracy. /t 3. Ability to work without close supervision. /t 4. Strong written and verbal skills. /t 5. Computer skills. /t 6. Ability to maintain confidentiality. /t 7. May be asked to work overtime with little or no notice.
