Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to lead the development of specialized care for patients with congestive heart failure. This position is focused entirely on advanced heart failure management with no transplant responsibilities and offers a rare opportunity to shape cardiac care in a growing and vibrant region. As the only Heart Failure Cardiologist in Southern New Mexico, you ll be a key clinical leader in an area of significant need, joining a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to excellence in patient outcomes. • Specialized and Focused: Deliver dedicated care to patients with congestive heart failure including HFrEF, HFpEF, cardiomyopathies, and pulmonary hypertension without transplant cases.
• Pioneering Position: Build and grow a much-needed service line in an underserved community, backed by strong institutional support.
• Team-Based Model: Collaborate with general and interventional cardiologists, dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, and case managers to deliver comprehensive care.
• Balanced Lifestyle: Enjoy a consistent outpatient schedule (Monday Thursday, 8 5; Friday, 8 4) and participate in a light 1:7 general cardiology call rotation.
• Advanced Tools at Your Fingertips: Use the latest technologies and evidence-based therapies to personalize treatment plans and improve quality of life. What We re Looking For:
  • MD or DO with completion of a cardiology fellowship
  • Advanced fellowship training or certification in Heart Failure (board certification preferred)
  • Strong clinical acumen, with a passion for compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New Mexico Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with advanced cardiac imaging (MRI, echocardiography)
    • Interest in clinical trials or contributing to ongoing research initiatives
