To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care.
  
  What you will do in this role:
  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.What qualifications you will need:
    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
    
    • Current RN licensure in Texas--Required
      
      • BCLS certified--Required
        
        • *ACLS certified--Required
          *Note: ACLS needs to be completed within 6 month after hire date
          
          EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
          
          • Bachelors in Nursing SciencePreferred
            
            • Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing--Required
              
              CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
              
              
              • 2 years of Medical Nursing or Orthopedic Nursing experience--Preferred
                
                • Medical Surgical ANCC Certification or ANCC Orthopedic Nurse Certification--Preferred
                  
                  • Reads and writes basic English--Required
                    
                    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.--Required
                      
                      • Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills--Required
                        
                        • Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partner needs.--Required
                          
                          • Basic computer skills and proficiency--Requiredis a full service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas. We have a Level II trauma designation. This facility has 300+ patient beds. Our include emergency care, cardiac care, womens services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, a , and a Minimally Invasive Surgery Center.
