Solutions is currently seeking an exceptionally talented
Audiologist -to join our growing team to support a local project
team. -About: - -This position provides medical readiness support
to the Soldier Resiliency and Readiness Center (SRRC) in
coordination with William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) to
support soldier mobilizations and demobilizations, as well as to
provide secondary support to WBAMC's Primary Care and other
outlying clinics when mission permits.Specific Tasks:1. Administer
audiology tests to all types of patients.2. Identify, assess, and
manage auditory, balance, and other neural systems. Provide
comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of the hearing
and balance mechanisms including intraoperative monitoring of the
cranial nerves, cerumen removal, cochlear implant assessment and
management, post urography, and other advanced balance mechanism
evaluations.3. Review accompanying consultation forms and records,
independently determine appropriate tests, adapt test techniques,
and utilize clinical judgment based on audiological and
psychological precepts.4. Conduct routine tests, to include air
conduction, bone conduction, speech reception thresholds and speech
discrimination, including high intensity speech discrimination
testing.5. Use of telecommunications and information technologies
to provide health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation,
education, and health-related information across distances.6.
Counsel beneficiaries as required regarding problem(s), interpret
results and provide guidance and advice on educational and training
needs. Provide narrative summary of each patient to referring
physician and other interested agencies.7. Complete each encounter
at the end of the day and appropriately close the record.Minimum
Qualifications:1. Master's degree in audiology.2. Graduate from an
educational program accredited by the American Speech-Language
Hearing Association's (ASHA) Council on Academic Accreditation in
Audiology and Speech Pathology (CAA) or the Accreditation
Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE).3. Possess a certificate
of Clinical Competence (CCC) in the field of Audiology (CCC-A) from
the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA-CCCA) or
certification from the American Board of Audiology of the American
Academy of Audiology (AAA).4. Must hold a full, current, and
unrestricted license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the
District of Columbia.5. Possess a minimum of one year of experience
within the last two years working as a full-time Audiologist.6.
Possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification. The American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program
accepted. BLS recertification shall be maintained in a current
status at all times while the CP is performing services under this
contract.
