  Job Description
  
  • 
    
  • Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
    
  • Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
    
  • Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
    
  • Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
    
  • Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
    
  • Tracking surgical supplies.
    
  • Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
    
  • Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
    
  • Helping provide great patient care.
    
    
    Requirements
    
    • 
      
    • Required Certs-Years of Experience: 1. BLS
      
    • Call required***
      
    • National cert or 5 years exp required.
      
    • Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Appendicitis/CHolelithiasis/degenerative disc disease/degenerative joint disease
      
    • # of Beds: 8
      
    • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1
      
    • Charting: Cerner
      
    • Scrub Color: Any
      
    • Areas of Float Support: OR/PACU/PREOP
      
    • Special Procedures: Total joint replacement, robotics, gyn surgery, neurosurgery
      
      
      
      • 
        
      • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
        
      • Able to work under high pressure.
