• HCA Las Palmas Del Sol Medical Center is looking for PRN RN-'s to work within ICU, Med Surge, Bariatric Surgical, Medical Oncology, Medical Renal, Ortho Neuro,
• Ortho Surgical,Telemetry Units across our local Hospitals.
• These are night or weekend opportunities.
• Twelve week commitments

To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. POPULATION SERVED: Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient populations served: Medical/Surgical diagnosis including but not limited to GI, GU/GYN, orthopedic, neuro, renal metabolic, pulmonary systems and those requiring isolation precautions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process.
  • Participates and cooperates in the unit based Quality Improvement processes.
  • Supports, maintains and provides an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.
  • Practices, develops and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Serves as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient-'s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
  • Plans and implements patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.
  • Evaluates and documents patient response; monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychosocial status; takes appropriate action based on assessment of the patient.
  • Other RN duties as assigned. Qualifications LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
    • Current Registered Nursing License in state of Texas or Compact state--Required.
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification --Required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
      • Bachelors in Nursing Science--Preferred
      • Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing--Required CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
        
        • Medical/Surgical Nursing experience--Preferred
        • Medical Surgical ANCC Certification--Preferred
        • Reads and writes basic English--Required
        • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.--Required
        • Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills--Required
        • Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partner needs.--Required
        • Basic computer skills and proficiency--Required
