We would love to talk toyou about this fantastic opportunity.POSITION SUMMARY: Under the generalsupervision of the Charge Nurse or Unit Director the staff nurse assumesresponsibility for direct nursing care and coordination of care with ancillaryunits and physicians on his/her designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of themanagement team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing provision of excellentquality of patient care services provided in unit. The clinical RN assesses,plans, implements, evaluates, delegates, and coordinates treatment plans andthe plan of care with the healthcare team involved in the patient's care, aswell as with the patient.POPULATIONSERVED: Core competencies will be assessed primarily on thefollowing patient population(s): Malignanciesinvolving al body systems requiring medical/surgical, chemo/radiation therapiesincluding but not limited to Neuro, GYN/GU, GI, pulmonary, skeletal, renal,metabolic, and hematopoietic systems, medical/surgical diagnoses and thoserequiring isolation precautions. Will also care for post surgical patients whohave under gone robotic GYN surgery, hysterectomies, mastectomies, skin graftsand general surgery patients. May also care for post partum mothers whoseneonates are in NICU( will not be taking care of neonates), etc.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process.* Monitor and recognizes changes in the patient's behavioral and physiological status; takes appropriate action based on assessment.* Utilizes professional skills and judgment in delivering and/or delegating care for a group of patients.* Provides leadership and direction to all disciplines assigned to the health care team.* Job specific competencies* Other duties assigned.Qualifications REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION:* RN licensed in state of Texas/Compact state* ADN or BSN* BCLSREQUIRED EDUCATION: * Ability or work within a team to ensure quality careREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:None PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE,CERTIFCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:* 1-2 yearsnursing experience* Certification in Med-Surg, Oncology* Computerskills* Strongproblem solving skills* BSNNotice Our Company's recruiters are here to help unlock the next possibility within your career and we take your candidate experience very seriously.
