Job Description:
Performs nursing assistant duties under the direct supervision
of a Registered Nurse.Required Skills1. Possess effective oral and
written communication skills.2. Possesses effective interpersonal
relationship skills.3. Technically competent in tasks within the
scope of practice of nursing assistant.4. Ability to read and
comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral
instructions and safety precautions.5. Bilingual English/Spanish
preferred.Required ExperienceWork ExperienceOne year experience as
a Nursing Assistant preferred.License/Registration/Certification1.
Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant.2. Current CPR training
program.Education and Training1. High school graduate or
equivalent.2. Completion of one of the following:a. State approved
nursing assistant training program.b. Completion of 5th semester of
nursing school.c. Completion of a Magnet school program.
