Administrative Director-Quality Management, FT Days Tracking Code 3614-029 Job Description Responsible for providing the overall leadership oversight and accountability for Quality, Infection Prevention and Patient Safety Program for the organization across the continuum of ambulatory to inpatient. Working collaboratively with members of the Nursing Leadership, Management Teams and the Professional staff. The Administrative Director of Quality Management is responsible for establishing systems, creating the climate, and providing the leadership to support the delivery of quality patient care. This position is directly responsible for understanding the standards/regulations, monitoring and complying with the updates/changes in the standards and timely communication of the changes with the relevant departments/associates. In collaboration with the VP Quality and Patient Safety and Chief Nursing Officer cross coordinates data, trends, plans interventions and outcomes for Quality Management, Infection Prevention, Patient Safety and Risk initiatives. Required Skills

  • Possesses solid communication abilities, analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize data to proactively identify patient safety issues.
  • Content expert with responsibility for National Patient Safety Goals processes, improvement and metrics.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of The Joint Commission, Texas Department of Health, Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services Conditions of Participation and Regulatory Accrediting Agency Standards to assure compliance.
  • Works well under pressure to quickly improve patient outcomes.
  • Ability to evaluate patient safety issues and present data to other professionals in a clear concise manner.
  • Knowledge of hospital systems and related software application skills.
  • Skins necessary to build credible and effective relationships with nursing and physician leadership. Works effectively in teams and alone.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and health care professionals at all levels to achieve established goals, improve quality of outcomes, and position the organization for optimum success and market leadership.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Required Experience Work Experience
    • At least five (5) years in a Management/Supervisor capacity in a healthcare environment.
    • Strong experience with quality management related duties, to include Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes, quality case reviews, and The Joint Commission standards.License/Registration/Certification
      • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification -preferred.Education and Training
