Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
candidate is sought for a contracted position at a supportive
public school district located in southern New Mexico. This role is
based at an elementary school in Vado, NM, serving a caseload of
approximately 60 students, including three Structured Communication
Classrooms (SCCs). Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language
therapy and support to students, focusing on current therapy and
caseload needs. Work collaboratively with a team that includes
bilingual SLPs; bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
Support students utilizing Augmentative and Alternative
Communication (AAC) systems; experience is advantageous but not
mandatory. Maintain compliance with state licensure and
certification requirements. Qualifications: Must hold a valid New
Mexico state SLP license. Candidates without the license should
have already applied as obtaining it can take time. Must have or be
able to obtain a Public Education Department (PED) certification
through the New Mexico Department of Education; candidates can
begin work while certification is pending if licensed. Prior
experience in school settings with Speech-Language Pathology
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred. Ability to
manage a diverse caseload in a school environment. Willingness to
learn and grow professionally. Location:Position is located in
Vado, NM, near Las Crucesan area known for its beautiful
surroundings. El Paso, TX is approximately 46 miles away, making
this an accessible opportunity for professionals in that region.
