The Neonatal Program Coordinator provides leadership and promotes
excellence in patient care for neonatal conditions. This position
is responsible for planning, development, and implementation of
neonatal quality and patient safety goals. The Neonatal Program
Coordinator coordinates education for staff and physicians and
oversees the ongoing quality improvement process to improve patient
care. This position ensures compliance with the accreditation
standards and collects and reports data to external agencies (as
required) and internal committees. What qualifications you will
need:
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Required: Ability to collect,
interpret and analyze data. Ability to apply critical thinking
skills to process improvement and decision making. Ability to cope
effectively with crisis and emergency situations. Strong and
effective communication skills. Ability to lead a
multi-disciplinary team and encourage team-building efforts.
Knowledge of general hospital operations Must be able to
demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by
strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as
required by both HCA and Del Sol Medical Center. Preferred:
Computer skills, previous experience in applicable field EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 5
years or more experience as a neonatal nurse. Preferred: Certified
Professional in Healthcare Quality, Trained in Team STEPPS LICENSES
AND CERTIFICATES: Required: Texas RN License or a Compact RN
license from a NCLA Compact State, BLS certification, STABLE, and
NRP as per LPDSH policy Del Sol Medical Center is a full service,
